There are mainly three categories i.e. Free, Subsidized and Private patients, under which our experienced doctors can examine a person. All patients go through the reception area where patient computerized registration cards are made for the appropriate category. These cards are used to keep computerized medical information about the patient’s in order to provide better assistance to them in their subsequent visits.
During morning time (0800 – 1300 hours) no Appointments are necessary for Free and Subsidized categories. However private patients can get appointment for the evening.
Any deserving patient in need for free treatment can get registered as such in OPD-1 and get for treatment, as OPD patient however if surgery is needed then an appropriate assessment of the need is made by the designated hospital committee and decided accordingly.
Under this category, the patient reports at the reception area and the computerized registration card is provided to him. The patient is charged at Subsidized rates for the OPD as well as subsequent surgery if required.
Presently Private patients are seen in the evening only. (Monday – Friday). Patients need to contact (051) 5487821-5 Ext. 263 or can make online appointment by clicking (Online Appointments). Appointments are made for RAWALPINDI Hospital and our Satellite Clinics at ISLAMABAD and WESTRIDGE. The patient can ask for appointment with any of the senior doctors. Fee charged from private patients is wholly used to provide subsidy to poor/deserving patients being treated at Al-Shifa.
